Michael Strome identified a need in the actuarial consulting market where small and medium sized clients were being underserved by the traditional actuarial firms. The national and global firms were providing advice that was too costly and the local consulting firm did not have the expertise to provide expert advice.

After some urging by his prior clients, Michael took the opportunity to start Strome Actuarial Services. The goal of the firm is to provide high quality, flexible service while delivering the same level of expertise provided by the larger consulting firms priced for mid-market clients.

With more than 20 years of experience, Strome Actuarial Services provides quality actionable advice in all areas of your retirement needs.

The team’s key actuarial experience includes:
Retirement Consulting
We help companies decide which type of plan best meets their needs, from a traditional defined benefit plan, to a hybrid plan, or a defined contribution plan.
Strategic Planning
What is important to your company: is it cash flow, balance sheet or bank covenants? We work with your company to focus on the most important issues.
Pension Administration
Proper plan administration is important to ensure that the risk to your company is minimized.
Risk Management
Managing risk in a defined benefit plan is vital for the company to achieve its short, medium and long term goals. Poor decisions and improper management of the plan cause unanticipated problems which lead to a crisis.
